03 - Grief

We're tackling a heavy topic today. Grief is an integral part of our everyday lives whether we wish to acknowledge it or not. From small griefs of losing a favorite pen to much larger griefs of losing a job or loved one, knowing what grief is and how to work through it is important.

The five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. While this model is accurate to a point, most of us consider it a linear progression through the stages. In reality, we will bounce around these throughout a day or week or month. Subtle reminders of what we've lost will send us back through the process again. We need to do this as many times as it takes to fully process the loss.
